Albania has moved quickly to receive the 64 million euro funding from the EU's new growth plan. Prime Minister Edi Rama shared the news with his Facebook followers this morning in his "Sy m'sy" column. According to the head of government, our country has fulfilled the tasks of the calendar and program in the progress of membership. Of these funds, according to Rama, 30 million are for the state budget and 34 for infrastructure. In the same vein, Rama emphasized, North Macedonia is also.
"We have very positive news, Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos has stated that she congratulates Albania and the Republic of Macedonia for the speed in receiving funding from the new growth plan. This means fulfilling the tasks according to the agreed calendar and program for the country's further progress on the path to membership. It is about 64 million euros coming from the EU for Albania, 30 million euros are for the state budget to support reforms and 34 pass through the Western Balkans Investment Fund for infrastructure. This is a clear sign of the fact that we are moving quickly according to the pace set for negotiations with the EU."
Rama also shared an EU survey, where 74% of the EU bloc, according to him, believes that their country has benefited from the EU. In these conditions, Rama says that the vote on May 11 has a geopolitical weight to guarantee peace and security for our country.
"From a recent survey conducted in the EU, by EU structures, there is a very surprising result for some and not at all for others, for the first time since this survey was conducted in 1993, for the first time there is a record figure of 74% of the EU bloc that believes that their country has benefited from the EU and today there are other reasons to support the EU and 35% of supporters of this very significant measure for the EU that has not resulted so great since 1993 cite peace and security, which is why I repeat to you every day that the vote on May 11 has a geopolitical weight to guarantee the peace and security of our country to enter the EU."
Rama also spoke about the meeting on March 29 in Crete and March 30 in Athens, where he invited his compatriots to join this meeting. (A2 Televizion)
