Throughout Albania, the size of the ballot paper will be the same, regardless of the district. The unusual dimensions, 58.3 by 29.7 cm, make the ballot paper look more like a sheet, whether in Tirana where 37 mandates are contested, or in Kukës with 3 candidates for each subject.

"One thing we must keep in mind, to reconfirm, the ballot paper will be the same for all districts," said the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi.

The only difference from district to district, based on the number of candidates, will be the space between the candidates' names, as the font size and typeface will be the same.

"It is understood that for the Tirana district the number of candidates is higher and there is a greater density of names, but they are all legible as names," explained Celibashi.

The political parties were not all in agreement with the elements of the ballot, as Celibashi was also asked at the table to include numbers along with the names of the candidates.

"There should be numbers too. This is how the Electoral Code defines it. The order is based on the alphabetical order of the surname."

On May 11, Albanians will choose between 11 competing entities that will present a total of 2,046 candidates for deputies. (A2 Televizion)
