The co-leader of the "Initiative-Albania Becomes" coalition, Adriatik Lapaj, does not have a bad relationship with Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The statement made a few days ago by the head of government regarding Lapaj's father's candidacy on the closed list of Berat, has caused the latter to react again through a video posted on social networks.
There, Lapaj states that Rama belongs to the group of leaders who inherit the party and unlike the "Initiative-Albania Becomes" coalition that will burn the names placed on the closed list, the prime minister will introduce them to Parliament.
"Mr. Rama, Mr. Berisha's partner, who both closed the lists, is very concerned about why we have placed parents on the closed lists, to burn them, and with the aim of us actually competing to go to Parliament. Rama is used to his own party, to inherit power from father to children and from mother to children. They are doing this in these elections as well," says Lapaj.
He further calls on citizens to take a look at the closed lists of the SP in each district and they will find there the sons of former left-wing legislators and officials.
"I invite you to enter the closed lists that Rama has made and verify whose children are those who are on the closed lists. Look, maybe you will find there the children of former deputies or high-ranking officials of the Socialist Party. Of course, they inherit power because that is their style. We want to dismantle their system so that young people in this country have the opportunity to compete, regardless of whose children they are," Lapaj further stated.
We recall that Prime Minister Rama, while referring to Adriatik Lapaj, said a few days ago in a meeting: "Anyone can form a new party with all the cousins and with their father at the top of the list, but also shout: we are the youth!
