'Albania Becomes', led by Adriatik Lapaj, and 'Lëvizja Bashkë', led by Arlind Qori, have announced a protest following the arrest of Mayor Erion Veliaj.
According to announcements made on their Facebook pages, the protest will take place in front of the prime minister's office, but on different dates.
'Albania Becomes' and 'Nisma Thurje' will jointly protest on February 11, the next day, while on the other hand, 'Lëvizja Bashkë' will protest on February 12.
All three political entities are demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama following Veliaj's arrest, as according to them, he is behind all these developments.
Lapaj writes in his Facebook post that Rama should not spend another hour in the Prime Minister's Office, writes A2 CNN.
"Edi Rama, resign! Tomorrow I will be in the square in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Let those who think that the government should not spend another hour in those offices know!", Lapaj wrote on his Facebook page.
Meanwhile, the 'Together Movement' Facebook page states that Veliaj is a political clone of Prime Minister Edi Rama and is currently in prison for 9 criminal offenses.
"RESIGN! The arrest of Erion Veliaj is an important step in establishing justice in Albania. However, corruption in Albania goes higher, to Edi Rama.
Today, Edi Rama should be in prison together with Erion Veliaj for the incinerators, the tower permits in Tirana, the strategic investor law and the numerous concessions. This is the duty of the justice institutions.
It is the duty and right of citizens to demand that they no longer be governed by a thoroughly corrupt prime minister, whose political clone is currently in prison accused of 9 corrupt acts.
"Under these conditions, with the highest political responsibility, the BASHKA Movement calls on all citizens to protest on Wednesday at 6:00 PM in front of the Prime Minister's Office. Edi Rama must resign one hour earlier," it is written on the BASHKA Movement website. (A2 Televizion)
