Through a post on social media, Lulzim Basha, as leader of the Euro-Atlantic Democrats, has presented a list of candidates with whom the entity he leads will compete in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Basha writes that the candidates were chosen after extensive consultation with citizens and stated that they are clean and will face the transition political caste that has been leading Albania for more than 20 years.
Among the names included in Lulzim Basha's list, those of Azgan Haklaj, Endri Hasa, Mirela Karabina, Orjola Pampur, etc. stand out.
Basha's full post:
Today, the Euro-Atlantic Democrats began the journey towards May 11, through the approval by the National Council of the first group of candidates who will be your voice and strength in the next parliament. They are the product of a broad consultation with citizens, people of integrity and skilled professionals, who live every day with the concern of their fellow citizens, who have proven to stand for values and principles, not for petty personal interests. They, as well as the other candidates who will receive the approval of the council in the coming days, will compete on an open list and it will be you who will decide who will represent you in the next parliament.
Because, we believe in politics as a service to citizens, listening to their problems and offering the vision to overcome them, not as self-service to a handful of politicians who have impoverished the country and alienated the youth.
Our candidates will unveil, across the country, our reform program, which centers on the uncompromising fight against corruption, good governance, the family, and the extraordinary Albanian youth.
Like every Albanian, we believe that Albania deserves more in the economy, in education, in health, in justice, in support for pensioners, in care for the needy, in progress towards the EU.
The Euro-Atlantic Democrats candidates will work for you and with you to make this possible on May 11, as people who have proven with their coherence, determination, and resilience that they are in politics to serve only citizens, not petty chairs and interests.
Every day, time increasingly vindicates our principled stances in confronting the unpunished caste of transition, which can neither escape justice nor punishment by vote on May 11.
With a high sense of responsibility and commitment to citizens, who deserve a politics with a human face, we present to you the first list of candidates approved by the National Council of Euro-Atlantic Democrats:
