The American Embassy, ​​in a reaction it made on Tuesday, says that the US stands by its position on the persons determined to be involved in major corruption.

"A healthy opposition is a critically important part of a vibrant democracy. I appreciate the opportunities I have had in recent months to meet with various representatives of the opposition to hear a variety of perspectives on the challenges facing the Albanian people, concerns about the upcoming election environment and how Albania can build a future better. I encourage all parties to engage constructively in a political process that is equal for all. We stand by our long-standing position that we do not engage with individuals determined to be involved in grand corruption," reads a statement from Chargé d'Affaires, Nancy VanHorn, posted by the US Embassy.
