After leaving SPAK, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha published another serious accusation against the judiciary and the new judicial structures, targeting Judge Irena Gjoka and justice officials whom he calls "Edi Rama's vets."
In a lengthy statement to the media, Berisha revealed a case of what he called a "forged contract", presented by "Irena with 5 surnames", a reference he uses to the judge, writes A2 CNN.
"This lease contract, according to them, was signed in Fier on February 13, 1996, but the document states that it was drafted according to articles 801 and 825 of the 2015 Civil Code. Is there a greater mockery of the state and the law?" said Berisha.
He emphasized that the document in question is not notarized, but was nevertheless accepted by the authorities as an official document to justify an amount of 60 million lek, which he considered dirty money derived from illegal activities.
"Fier's taxes have responded that there is no trace of this amount. What are Edi Rama's vets doing? They are ordering Irena to pay taxes for a fictitious agreement from 1996, for an amount that was never declared!", declared the former prime minister.
Berisha described this case as "a symbol of the degeneration of the new justice system" and said that with this act, "Rama's vets have become accomplices in Irena's financial crime with 5 surnames."
He closed the statement in harsh tones, saying that "this is no longer a state, but an institutional cartel captured by crime money and turned into the service of Edi Rama." (A2 Televizion)
