The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that the alliance's program for 'Greater Albania' is a true mission to get Albania out of the crisis.
Berisha made the comments during a meeting with citizens in Kavaja, from where he attacked Prime Minister Edi Rama, whom he called the leader of a criminal organization that steals from Albanians.
He also promised that the DP program will eradicate poverty from Albania during the first 100 days of government, writes A2 CNN.
Excerpt from Berisha's speech:
Friends! This campaign makes it clear to every Albanian every minute and every day that the cause of the great problems, the cause of the terrible impoverishment and misery of Albanians in 12 years, the cause of the departure of Albanians from Albania, the cause of the collapse of the health system, the education system, is one and only one, Edi Rama, his criminal organization, who steals every minute, every hour, every day, the Albanians, their budget, their funds, their public assets.
Every day, every hour, Albanians are embracing more and more the DP program, the program that guarantees Albanians that it will create a new opportunity for every citizen.
The program that guarantees citizens that extreme poverty will be eradicated from Albania in the first 100 days.
That there will be no pension below 200 euros, that there will be no economic aid below 200 euros, that there will be no student scholarship below 200 euros. There will be no minimum wage below 500 euros, that the price of energy will be reduced to 7 lek for citizens, that water tariffs will be halved, that a consumer card will be issued to all pensioners and low-wage earners.
It guarantees the entrepreneurs of Kavaja, small, medium and large businesses, that halving taxes, reducing the price of energy to 6 lek from 18, halving the water tariff, and freeing them from inspectorates and fines are our solemn commitments.
So this program is a program for every Albanian, it is not a party program. It is a program of a real mission to get Albania out of this spiral, out of these labyrinths that are desolating it more and more every day. (A2 Televizion)
