Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that the risk of the Justice Reform being overturned is real in Albania today.
Rama made the comments during a meeting with women and girls in Shkodra, where he said that it is the first time since 1912 that justice is no longer in the hands of the head of government, but rather in the hands of justice itself.
He also said that only when Albania joins the EU, which according to him the SP government will do, will there be no more opportunity to destroy the Justice Reform, writes A2 CNN.
"Since 1912, the head of government has had justice in his hands. It is the first time in history that justice has justice in his hands. And this is because you and the majority of Albanians believed me when I said in 2017 'give me that steering wheel, don't leave us with others in your lap, because we cannot carry out justice reform. All others are enemies of justice'.
You gave me the wheel and I and the SP turned back a justice that will not know left and right, it looks straight ahead and as long as I and the SP are here, there will be no turning back for justice. But the others who come after... History has shown that what the Albanian has done to this country, the enemy has not done to it either.
"So the possibility that what we have done, equality before the law, will be overturned, is real. Not from the May 11 elections, because on May 11, the Socialist Party will win. This job is not simply left in the hands of those who will be elected to govern Albania in the coming years. This job will be solved when the country joins the EU," Rama said, writes A2 CNN.
