The chairman of the Movement for National Development, deputy Dashamir Shehi, has stated that he was called by the United States Embassy to discuss important issues for the election process in Albania.
Shehi made the comments on the show 'Debat' with journalist Alba Alishani on A2 CNN, where he said that the SP and DP combined the votes for the new electoral code, in order to occupy the field of competition for others.
He also said that LZHK together with other opposition parties have taken this law to the Constitutional Court, where they are waiting for an answer.
"We were also met at the US Embassy, just like these. But these make noise, while we don't make noise like these. When they invite you to the house, the conversations that take place do not go outside the house.
It's the same situation. We have made it clear that these problems are. Our problem, which is not of these gentlemen, is the electoral law, which we call the violence of democracy.
SP and PD won the votes to occupy the field for others. We have taken it all the way to the Constitutional Court. More than that, we have nothing to do, because only God is in front of the court", said Shehi. (A2 Televizion)
