The youth of the Democratic Party will hold the next protest on December 19.
As they declare that they stand in solidarity with the students and support their concerns, the young democrats will join the march from the Student City to the Ministry of Education.
"On December 19, Thursday at 12:00, we invite you to join the protest march of FRPD and GRUD youth from Student City to MAS. Every student and every young person who demands that education does not become a victim of Edi Rama and his corruption is invited to join us in this march of dignity on behalf of the University", was the call of the head of FRPD, Besart Xhaferri from the blue headquarters.
Xhaferri then showed the reasons why this rally will take place.
"In 2018, when he promised the Pact for the University to quell the student protests, which he did not bring under control with the media and FRESH patronage, Edi Rama promised that starting from 2019, 5% of the GDP would go to education. During these years, this turned out to be the next fraud, as for the 2025 budget, only 2.45% of the country's GDP, or 62.2 billion lek, less than half of what was promised, is expected to be given to education as a whole. Specifically, 1.79% of GDP will be given for general pre-university education, only 0.17% of GDP is planned for professional education and only 0.49% of GDP is planned for higher education. Edi Rama, who wants to get the powers of the Chief Scientist, plans to invest only 0.06% of the GDP for science, at a time when millions of euros from our taxes are allocated for sleazy concerts and personal marketing in the international media. None of the 8 points of the pact for the University have been kept," he explained. (A2 Televizion)
