Through a statement, the General Prosecutor's Office wrote that the purpose of the meeting was cooperation and coordination between prosecutors of general jurisdiction and the State Police in the context of the investigation of electoral crimes.
Also in the announcement, Proda assured Çela of the engagement of state police structures during the electoral process in full compliance with the legal framework in force.

The Prosecutor General, Mr. Olsian Çela, met today with the Director General of the State Police, Mr. Ilir Proda.
The purpose of the meeting was cooperation and coordination between general jurisdiction prosecutors and the State Police in the context of the investigation of electoral crimes.
The leaders of both institutions agreed on a series of administrative measures aimed at the rapid and efficient detection and investigation of electoral crimes, through a comprehensive engagement of the relevant structures, which will respond to the specific needs related to the electoral period.
The investigation of electoral crimes will be considered an institutional priority and will be the subject of the work of special investigative structures that will be created with prosecutors and judicial police officers, which will also be supported with the necessary human and technical resources from the State Police for the use of special investigation methods.
The Director General of the State Police assured the Prosecutor General of the engagement of state police structures during the electoral process in full compliance with the legal framework in force.
The Prosecutor General and the Director General of the State Police, in addition to expressing full institutional commitment, encourage all citizens and any other entity to timely report electoral crimes and to cooperate with law enforcement agencies for their full investigation. (A2 Televizion)
