Chestnut: With 3 Investigative Commissions and reformation of the
Democratic MP, Lefter Gështenja on A2 CNN

The opposition is clear in its action! After more than 2 chaotic sessions in the Assembly, the democrats, Sali Berisha's group are determined that the moment the majority will allow the establishment of 3 Investigative Commissions and the reformation of the Electoral Reform Commission, then they will return to the Assembly and allow her works normally.

It was the democratic MP himself, Lefter Gështenja, who in an interview in Ditarin at 19:00 with journalist Bruna Çifligu said that if there will be reflection from the majority on these 2 points, then the opposition will return to the Assembly.

"If tomorrow the SP, the majority takes a decision, gives the green light to the 3 Investigative Commissions and the reformation of the Electoral Reform Commission, the opposition will sit in the parliament, it is enough to give the green light to the Investigative Commissions... what should we do differently, to submit to this majority? Of course not, what value would a vote for or against have, as long as this majority does not have you in its accounts?", said Gështenja.

"Basha's group should join us"

The democratic deputy, Lefter Gështenja has informed that Lulzim Basha's group should be together with the other party in the opposition action recently undertaken. Their presence in the commissions, at a time when the Berisha-Bardhi group is boycotting them, is the wrong way for Gështenje.

"I would like the opposition to be united in this action, be it Çollaku or other colleagues who today are from Basha, are signatories of these Commissions, have signed for these Commissions, I would like them to be on the same side as the opposition, at the moment who line up on the other side do not serve the opposition. If it continues like this, if we go separately in 2025, we have left the victory on the table for Rama", said the democrat.

"The opposition action has nothing to do with Berisha"

The opposition action started by the opposition, for Lefter Gështenjë, has nothing to do with the call to SPAK of Sali Berisha.

"I don't connect them with each other because the work on consolidating the opposition started in July-August", he added.

"PD does not have a legitimate leader, decisions are not taken by Berisha, but by the group"

Although he is on the side of Sali Berisha's group, Gështenja says that despite this, he does not recognize the former prime minister as the leader of the Democratic Party. He says he is waiting for the court's decision on who leads the largest opposition party in Albania.

"We are in court, we are waiting for the Court's decision, we do not have a legitimate president, the only legitimate institution is the DP group. Berisha does not make the decisions, he proposes, discusses and the DP group makes the decision", he said.

"Sula-Çollaku dispute, unnecessary conflict"

On the other hand, he also commented on the fight in the Assembly, between 2 democrats, Dash Sula and Kreshnik Çollak. Geshtenja called it an unnecessary conflict, but said that Çollak's presence fulfilled the quorum to hold the meeting. Therefore, the deputy sees this as unfair at a time when the opposition has launched an opposition action, for their rights.

"An unnecessary conflict started with the presence of Çollak, there was a reaction from Sula, because his presence made the quorum, that the SP did not have a quorum until those moments, his arrival caused the meeting to start and we requested that this Commission that not to hold meetings following the reaction that we have as the opposition in front of the decision that this majority has taken against this opposition", concluded Gështenja on A2 CNN.

"If the conditions are not met, there is no normality in the Assembly"

If the majority will not reflect, Chestnut has warned about the scenarios that will be implemented.

"If the majority does not react, I am convinced and sure that not only the parliamentary session, but also the commissions will not work", concluded Gështenja on A2 CNN. (A2 Televizion)
