Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the presentation ceremony of the "Giro d'Italia", one of the most popular sports events in the world.
Albania was selected to host "La Grande Partenza 2025" The Great Start 2025, an event that will be broadcast live by more than 200 televisions worldwide.
The Prime Minister, during his speech, praised the Italian sport as one of the most loved by Albanians, adding that this event will strengthen even more the relations between the two countries.
The race, which has a 114-year history, will bring the world's best cyclists to Albania, passing through Tirana, Durrës and Vlora, and will be watched by millions of TV viewers around the globe.
"Albania is a blessed country, in the sense that in a small territory there is everything, we have many mountains, two seas, many rivers. From this point of view, these three stages are spectacular as they highlight a very beautiful part of the country and on the other hand it is extraordinary, that it is a way to show Albania like in a movie." - said the Prime Minister, among other things
