The former senior police chief, Shemsi Prençi, said the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, is one of the most honest people the justice system has known.
Prençi made the comments on 'Diary' with journalist Bruna Çifligu on A2 CNN, where he said that the government of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha itself treated him as homeless after he lived in a rented house and provided him with a loan to buy an apartment.
He also called on Berisha and other DP officials to stop the accusations against Duman, as according to him, they are "stinking" Albania with these slanders.
"Sali Berisha and other DP exponents who attack Altin Dumani, calling his 28 square meter office an apartment and his 16 square meter garage an apartment, are delusional. Because for a real opposition with a program that expects to come to power, SPAK and BKH should be allies, not enemies.
Berisha is also very wise himself, he advises the advisors sometimes. But it is wrong when it attacks SPAK and especially Altin Duman. Be convinced, I am contemporary at work, me as Police Director, while Altin Dumani as the head of the Prosecutor's Office of a district or of the Serious Crimes Prosecutor's Office, when Sali Berisha himself, Sali Berisha's government has treated the homeless and Altin Dumani turned out to be homeless and got the loan.
I remember the moment, the time, the concern, because it was a man who lived in rent. All that they count to Duman today for apartments, do not even amount to one room of a politician if you put them together. I tell Berisha to close this chapter because you have made Albania stink. Altin Dumani is the USA in Albania, he is the most honest man they have spotted here", said Prençi. (A2 Televizion)
