The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, stops in Albania today on her tour of the Western Balkans. After visiting Montenegro, where she met with President Jakov Millatović, Prime Minister Milojko Spajić and representatives of civil society, Kallas visits Tirana today.
She will meet with President Bajram Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama. She will also hold a joint press conference with the latter.
High Representative Kallas will also meet with Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, and Minister of Defence, Pirro Vengu. She will jointly open the first EU-Albania Security and Defence Dialogue with Ministers Hasani and Vengu.
"Kallas will also participate in the signing ceremony of the European Investment Bank grant and loan agreements for the Durrës-Rrogozhina railway," the EU statement said.
The last stop of the visit to the Western Balkans will be tomorrow, April 9, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where Kallas will hold meetings with the heads of the Tripartite Presidency, the President of the Council of Ministers and the Foreign Minister of Bosnia, and representatives of the European force in Bosnia, EUFOR.
