German Chancellor Friedrich Merz congratulated Prime Minister Edi Rama on his victory in the May 11 elections.
Through a post on the social network 'X', Merz writes that he is looking forward to the cooperation and the first meeting with Rama in Tirana on Friday, at the meeting of the Political Community in Tirana.
"Congratulations Edi Rama on your re-election in Albania. Many congratulations! I look forward to our continued cooperation and our first meeting at the European Political Community meeting in Tirana on Friday," Merz wrote in a post on the social network 'X'.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Rama thanked Merz for the congratulations through a post on the social network 'X', where he wrote that he can't wait to welcome the German Chancellor to Tirana tomorrow.
Rama also wrote that it would be a privilege to cooperate with the new Chancellor within the framework of the Berlin Process and to further bring Albania closer to the EU.
"Thank you very much Chancellor and I look forward to welcoming you to Tirana tomorrow. I have very positive memories of our first meeting and it will be a privilege to work with you - to further strengthen our bilateral relations, to advance regional cooperation within the Berlin Process and to bring our common European home even closer," Rama responded, through a post on the social network 'X'.
