Prime Minister Edi Rama held a thank-you meeting with citizens in Skanderbeg Square in Tirana, following the Socialist Party's victory in the May 11 elections.
During his speech to the citizens, Rama said that Albanians showed in these elections that they know how to choose, writes A2 CNN.
He also said that these elections pit Albania, which knows what it's doing and doesn't stop climbing higher and higher, against Albania, which only curses and curses, sinking, according to him, lower and lower.
Following his attacks on the opposition, Rama also said that Albanians chose between an increasingly better Albania, led with pride, and an Albania with blackened eyes from the fists of political hatred (labeling the opposition here).
"Albanians decided to entrust us, the Socialist Party, with a fourth mandate. We instilled even more trust in Albania, therefore we gathered more trust from Albanians. We instilled even greater pride for the European Albania that we are building, therefore we gathered the referendum votes for Albania that we will join the EU.
