The choice of the "Nisma-Albania is Done" coalition to include the names of family members of the mayors and members in the safe lists of candidates for the May 11 elections, which culminated in Adriatik Lapaj's father being ranked first on the list for Berat, was also commented on by Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Given the prime minister's ironic reaction to the issue in question, Adriatik Lapaj did not delay his response to Rama.
Through a message on the social network Facebook, Lapaj, who is co-chair of the "Nisma-Albania Becomes" coalition, claims that political opponents, including Prime Minister Rama, are "furious" by the bold decision of the coalition he is part of to compete with open lists on May 11.
"Personally, I am running on the open list of 18 in Tirana. Why have these other mayors included themselves on the safe lists? I entered politics to impose the race as a standard. Their mud adds to the nourishment of our roots," Lapaj says, while in a second post he challenges Edi Rama, inviting the leader of the majority to a public debate.
"Mr. Rama wants to talk, but I am busy with meetings. I am waiting for you in the debate! I am waiting for you whenever you want and wherever you want!", says Adriatik Lapaj in his message to the prime minister. (A2 Televizion)
