The Court of Tirana decided to suspend the case related to the request of Lulzim Basha for the registration of the statutory changes of the Assembly on September 2, 2023.
Judge Niko Rapi found in his decision that without resolving the conflict that is being examined by the Civil Court regarding the request of 7 deputies of the Democratic Party for the de-registration of the name of Lulzim Basha from the registration of political parties, as well as without resolving the other case in the Court of High, there can be no review of new statutory changes.
From the court's decision, it seems that all parties were satisfied, as the request for suspension was made several times by the lawyers of Rithemelimin and of the Gazment Bardhi group, but it was also articulated in the courtroom by the lawyers of Basha.
The issue of the legitimacy of the Democratic Party will continue to be examined in the trial that is taking place in the Court of First Instance, as well as in the Supreme Court. (A2 Televizion)
