French President Emmanuel Macron has responded from Tirana to criticism from Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani that the EU is sending bad messages to our region, saying that the door is being opened to those who go to Moscow to Putin and Kosovo is being blocked, writes A2 CNN. At the joint press conference with Prime Minister Rama, Macron said that he hopes to start dialogue between the two countries next week, while also mentioning their political and social problems.
"The roadmap is clear and we have spent a lot of time with the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina. The EU is demanding concrete progress on the municipal elections that have not been satisfactory on security issues. It must get out of this confrontation that is blocking the situation. I hope that the dialogue with Pristina and Belgrade will begin next week, because each country has faced political and social difficulties. It is important for the entire region. I think the demands are legitimate, we should not let an indirect dialogue be established," Macron said, according to A2 CNN.
A day ago, Osmani said: "There is a total blockade by the EU, our work is not appreciated, the reforms undertaken are not appreciated, the fact that we are 100% with their policies regarding sanctions against Russia, but also other policies is not appreciated. Unfortunately, a very bad message is being given for our region. The door is being opened more for those who go to Moscow to Putin than for us who see no other path and alternative than the EU.
