Prime Minister Edi Rama has not spared the irony for the Albanian Democratic Party, as he responded to the Italian Left PD for the agreement signed with Giorgia Meloni on illegal immigrants.
The head of the government says that helping Italy for the situation of illegal immigrants, at a time when even Europe is not finding a solution to the situation, is the least that Albania can do for the neighboring country.
Rama's reaction comes after it was reported in some Italian media that the DP of Italy would seek his exclusion from the European Socialist Party.
According to what Rama writes, the Italian Democratic Party has denied that it requested his exclusion, however, he adds that the agreement for illegal immigrants may not be the best, but its main purpose is to help them. Italy.
"The news spread in the newspapers that the friends of the Italian DP would like to expel me from the Eurosocialist Party and then they themselves denied it with some delay, but underlining that the agreement that Albania made with the Italian government is wrong in it. all the points, exactly the same thing is said by many right-wing Albanian PDs who are fighting for the right to the same name after the subsequent divisions.
Of course I will miss the ability to see the multiple perspectives of all these DPs, but in full respect of the Italian DP I would like to reiterate my single point of view: Trying to help Italy in this situation, when no one in Europe seems to have a solution that can be shared by everyone, maybe it is not the best, but it is certainly the minimum that Albania should and can do! If this is not for the left in Italy...it seems that it is not for the right in Albania either. Maybe it's the right thing to do.
