In the holy atmosphere of Easter, Orthodox believers in Berat gathered today to commemorate Black Friday, the day that symbolizes the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. The ceremonies took place at the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius, where thousands of Orthodox believers became part of this important spiritual ritual.
After the evening service, led by His Grace Asti together with Father Joan Qako and Father Petraq Simsia, the epitaph of the Cathedral of Saint Demetrius and that of the Church of Saint Spyridon were carried in a solemn procession through the main street of the city of Berat. While the faithful prayed for health, goodness and peace.
