Minister Hasani, on pensions with Greece and the sea agreement: Desk work is

At the year-end meeting with media representatives, Foreign Minister Igli Hasani answered questions regarding the negotiations with Greece, including the issue of pensions and the sea agreement.

He emphasized that the negotiations with Greece are multiple and handled with utmost care, where the main interest is to advance Albania's relations with the European Union, while maintaining a stable and healthy relationship with the neighboring country, writes A2 CNN.

Regarding the issue of recognizing pensions, Hasani explained that there has been a serious commitment and a deep understanding from the Greek side, and that the process follows carefully, not allowing technical details to affect the successful conclusion of the negotiations. He also emphasized the importance of a continuous commitment to achieve concrete results and advance Albania in the EU integration process, mentioning the opening of two important chapters in this direction.

"Negotiations with Greece have many vectors, so we treat them with care and maximum attention. In all this effort, the interest of the Albanian government prevails to bring Albania closer to the EU as quickly as possible, without leaving behind the foundations of a good and healthy relationship.

We had a very good and serious understanding and engagement with the Republic of Greece in this particular case. It is important that it is not a microphone effort but a desk job, going into all the necessary details but also taking care that the details do not spoil the whole. It is important to continue to have this commitment not only with our southern neighbors in order to achieve tangible results, such as the fact that the two most political group chapters were opened in the entire process", said the minister.
