The political crisis and the confrontation with justice caused a strong family divorce last year. Former President Ilir Meta and former LSI leader Monika Kryemadhi have ruled out the possibility of reconciliation between them.
But neither of them appeared at the first hearing to confirm or deny this. Ilir Meta, who had already been in cell no. 5 in prison 313 for months, had authorized his lawyer Genc Gjokutaj to represent him. But as the law stipulates, both parties and the couple in the divorce process must be present at the preliminary hearing.
The next attempt will be in the session of April 11. It was June 20 of last year when Ilir Meta, president of the Freedom Party, went to court to dissolve his 26-year marriage with Kryemadhi, a marriage from which they have 3 children.
Former President Ilir Meta was arrested and imprisoned in October last year, while Monika Kryemadhi is required to appear before the court.
They are being investigated by SPAK for money laundering, corruption, and failure to declare assets in connection with the CEZ-DIA file and LSI lobbying in the US. (A2 Televizion)
