Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that together with the Socialist Party, he has 'raised Tirana from the grave' and made it a European capital.
Rama made the comments in the 'Sy m'Sy' section on his Facebook page, while answering questions from commentators, writes A2 CNN.
Calling on Albanians to support the Socialist Party, Rama said that not everyone is the same, because according to him, at the time when the Municipality of Tirana was run by the Democratic Party, not even the clock in the city center worked.
"I did not bring the sky down to earth, but I raised Tirana from the grave. Not everyone is the same. Why was it that when the swamp violently took over the Tirana City Hall, not even the Tirana clock was working? Or because we are all the same. No, no, we are not the same.
Do you think that anyone would build a pyramid in 1997? Do you think that anyone would still be able to dig a hole in the Zogu i Zi and Skanderbeg Square construction sites for a political war with the mayor? Do you think that anyone would raise Tirana from the grave in the 200s and make it a European city with millions of tourists a year? Then it dawns on them that the people are voting in vain.
"Tirana was made by those who made it and not by those who, when they had something in their hands, undone it. I made this Kandahar the European capital and together with the Socialist Party we will make Albania 2030 the Europe of the Balkans and Tirana its proud capital," Rama said, writes A2 CNN.
