The Specialty Pediatric Hospital at QSUNT has opened its doors today with transformed facilities and modern conditions.
According to government representatives, university health services will be provided there according to European standards from all over Albania, writes A2 CNN.
The transformation of the building's infrastructure is expected to enable advanced diagnostics, multidisciplinary treatment, and support for the most complex pediatric cases.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, present at the inauguration ceremony, said that "today we can talk about interventions that were truly unimaginable, until a few years ago, at the Hospital Center, for children's surgeries, for example, with problems that, until yesterday, were only addressed in hospitals abroad."
Rama also said that this is the year with the highest agriculture budget, 1 billion euros, which, according to him, is an unimaginable budget a few years ago.
"I am very pleased that we are giving Pediatrics doctors and nurses the opportunity of another structure of the highest contemporary standards, while soon with this year's funding we will also realize the transformation of the third structure of Infectious Pediatrics. It is the year with the highest budget for healthcare, 1 billion euros, a high and unimaginable budget a few years ago, which we will do our best to realize with quality and by increasing capacities, not only here at the Hospital Center, but also throughout the Republic's health service network", said Rama.
"We are almost at the end of the work to introduce another service, which is a new service, thanks to a collaboration with a very well-known organization in the field of child support, Israeli friends who have offered to bring here this service, which is a school near the Pediatrics and which will give the children staying at the Pediatric Hospital the opportunity to simultaneously receive education and not fall behind in school, but of course with a method and a program that adapts to their non-optimal health condition," the Prime Minister continued.
