The President of the Republic of Albania, H.E. Bajram Begaj, has congratulated the newly elected President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, after his victory in the second round of the presidential elections, held on May 18, 2025. Nicușor Dan, former Mayor of Bucharest, secured a victory over rival candidate George Simion.
In his congratulatory message, President Begaj emphasized the very good and friendly relations between Albania and Romania, expressing his willingness to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.
"Congratulations Nicusor Dan on your election as President of Romania. Albania and Romania enjoy very good and friendly relations. I look forward to working together to further strengthen them for the benefit of our friendly peoples," said President Begaj on his official social media profiles. (A2 Televizion)
