From March 3, any new recruitment procedures in the state administration will be banned during the election period for the general elections on May 11. The news was announced by the Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni, in a statement this morning after the government meeting.
According to her, the initiated recruitment procedures must be completed, while in no ministry, institution or joint-stock company where the state is the owner, will the regulation of new procedures for employment be allowed. Emergency cases in the fields of critical infrastructure, health, education and defense are exempt from this decision.
"As of March 3, any kind of recruitment procedure to hire new employees will be prohibited, the procedures that have been initiated must be completed. In no ministry, dependent institutions and in all joint-stock companies where the state is the owner, there will be no new recruitment procedures, only for emergency needs in areas such as critical infrastructure, health, education or defense," declared Minister Pirdeni.
According to her, this measure aims to ensure a fair electoral process and prevent the use of state administration human resources for political influence.
