When 52 out of 95 ballot boxes in Kavaja have been counted, the DP leads with 4,759 votes, while the SP has 3,947 votes in the city of Kavaja.
The mayor of this city, Fisnik Qosja, from the Democratic Party, told A2 CNN that this is an expected result for the opposition.
"It is a very good result and I congratulate every citizen who has trusted us, but also the DP structures. The voting process and the counting are already going very well. Kavaja is in its habitat, on the right, where it originated.
"Despite the fact that the whole of Albania does not follow us, we do not give up and will move forward. We will also cooperate with the government for the good of Kavaja. We show our identity. I believe that the DP will reach 60 percent of the votes in Kavaja", said Qosja. (A2 Televizion)
