The political leader of the Democratic Party for the Korça region, Ivi Kaso, has announced that they have sued the former deputy mayor of the southeastern municipality, Besa Spaho, at SPAK for serious violations of electoral law.
According to Kaso, Spaho and her close staff have been involved in buying votes for the Socialist Party as well as blackmailing citizens and businesses.
"We have sued him in SPAK along with his entourage, the regional directors of AKU, mortgage, tax who rushed to buy the votes of the SP, rushed to put pressure and blackmail on businesses and citizens to vote for Besa Spaho personally. We warn all these electoral bandits, starting from Niko Peleshi, continuing to Besa and all their entourage that after May 11, in addition to the Democrats and the DP, they will face and have their accounts with justice. We invite citizens to vote calmly on May 11 because their vote is guaranteed, will be preserved and protected. The DP is on duty, is monitoring everything and referring it to SPAK, like Besa yesterday, and to all law enforcement institutions and to our international partners.
