The Democrats' campaign in the municipalities of the Elbasan region did not stop at political messages. The threatening tones were first raised by the Democrats' political leader, Tomorr Alizoti, who appeared with a language far removed from what he usually uses in politics.
"You who want to destroy Albania, you illiterate, you scoundrels, we will eat you alive. Don't you dare go to people's houses at night! Don't you dare put your hands in on election day! Doctor, they're more afraid of you..."
With his call to Berisha to scare his opponent even more, Alizoti seemed aware of his capacity to instill fear in the other camp. The doctor did not disappoint him and during the electoral meeting in Librazhd he mentioned names, showing how Taulant Balla's driver had been raped.
"Sueli made the driver a hospital. And Tao sewed his mouth shut like a non-existent person, like a Sueli soldier. Shame on him. Tao Burreci sewed his mouth shut against the man who had been his driver for years. He broke his bones because he did not support Sara Milen. I guarantee you that Sueli and Suelis like him will be declared terrorists on May 12th," Berisha said.
After the stop in Librazhd, the opposition leader also held an electoral meeting in Belsh, from where he had a message for the administration.
"I call on the administration, every employee to remain loyal to the law, to serve you in accordance with the law and we consider him a valuable servant of the state. Of course, those who elect the patronage, they are electoral terrorists."
