Sali Berisha, leader of the Democratic Party, accompanied by his wife Liri Berisha, voted shortly after 10:00 at the "Jordan Misja" artistic high school in Tirana.
Initially, Berisha encountered difficulties in identifying his fingerprints and was forced to be identified manually rather than by the PEI device.
Afterwards, he spoke to the media, declaring that "we will have a second summer day" after May 11th.
"I call on every Albanian citizen to vote. To vote for themselves, for their children, for their pensions, for their salaries, for their business and their farm. To vote for the future of their children in this country," Berisha said, A2 writes.
