President votes, Begaj: Citizens should freely express their will, bullying

President Bajram Begaj, who was accompanied by his wife, voted at the "Kongresi i Manastirit" school in the capital.

After casting his vote, he spoke to the media, giving a message to the citizens. Begaj said: "Electoral processes are important for the citizens, for the country and for democracy. This day has a special significance due to the fact that we have opened negotiations for EU membership, for the first time the diaspora votes and the elections must meet the best standards.

"This Sunday should be a joyful day, a day of celebration, where citizens should freely express their will, without pressure, so that their voice is heard. This is how this whole process should be. I wish the best for Albanian citizens," Begaj said, writes A2 CNN.

He also criticized the language used during the campaign by political actors. "In the election campaign, there should be a confrontation of ideas and programs, there should be no bullying language in any way," said Begaj.    (A2 Televizion)
