Prime Minister Edi Rama, through a post on Facebook, announced that "The European Union confirms the rapid pace of Albania's membership in the United European Family and formalizes the opening of negotiations for Chapter Group 3 - "Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth", announcing the holding of the Fifth Intergovernmental Conference with Albania on May 22, 2025, in Brussels".
The head of government emphasizes that 11 more chapters remain to be opened.
