Rama criticizes small parties from Saranda: They are like LSI, they only

Prime Minister Edi Rama, during a meeting with Socialist Party supporters in the city of Saranda, has once again criticized small parties on the Albanian political scene, accusing them of representing personal and narrow interests.

Rama compared these new political forces to the former LSI party, with which he won the 2013 elections, competing in a coalition against the majority led by Sali Berisha. The Prime Minister said that these parties are “the second cycle of the seed of the late LSI and you are well reminded of what we have lost by trying everything” .

According to him, experience with small parties has shown that they do not work for the common interest. " Small parties are for small interests. The smaller the party, the smaller the interests it represents. A large party like the Socialist Party is for the national interest ," Rama declared.

He stressed that, while the SP may have made mistakes during its 35 years of existence, there has never been a single instance where it has betrayed the national interest. " A great party like the SP is for the national interest ," Rama said. (A2 Televizion)
