Problems with the distribution of voting envelopes in Greece, Rama calls on

The problems with the distribution of envelopes with ballots for Albanian emigrants in Greece were also commented on by Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting with the electorate in Gjirokastra. According to the socialist leader in Greece, there was a mishmash with the distribution of envelopes, while he called on emigrants to vote in order to get their hands on a European passport.

"Hopefully and believing that they see us from Greece. I tell you, those of you who are registered to vote. There was a mix-up, not DHL, not where I know what. But, now the opportunity is there. I would ask those who are registered to take the envelope, to take the vote, to decide to bring this centuries-old legacy to the country, to give the children in Greece and themselves, this European passport. The Albanians of Greece are the ones who can understand better than all Albanians what it means. This passport is not another travel document, this is not simply so that when we go to the airports they don't take us out like foreigners, like second-class citizens, to start checking us."

With 8 days left until the elections, Rama urged immigrants in Greece who have registered to vote in the May 11 elections to go to the postal offices in person to pick up their envelopes and vote. According to Rama, their vote cannot remain on the streets like a worthless piece of paper.

"Those who have crossed the mountains, who have worked hard and are anxiously waiting to see if their pension will be recognized, cannot leave the envelope on the streets, they cannot let the vote they registered for remain as a worthless piece of paper. They must go and get it at all costs and send it to Tirana. There are still a few days left, it is possible, I urge you to send it to Tirana."

From Çerçiz Square, which he said was a bus parking lot when he took office, but has been transformed today, Rama said that Gjirokastra used to receive 6,000 tourists a year, while last year it was visited by 600,000. (A2 Televizion)
