The diaspora vote, besides being historic, is also decisive. This is also happening for the Lezha region. The counting of all votes physically cast in the ballot boxes within the country ended in favor of the Democratic Party with an advantage of about 2 thousand votes over the Socialist Party. Now all eyes are on the diaspora vote that will officially determine the distribution of mandates for the Lezha region, that is, which party will hold 4 mandates or 3 seats in the new legislature.
The two largest forces in the country, respectively the Democratic Party and the Socialist Party, are fighting a battle until the last vote, which could also determine the mandate of victory for the Lezha region. As the counting of the diaspora vote continues, the leftists are showing a slight advantage over the rightists. However, the names of at least 4 deputies elected for the Lezha region have already been confirmed and are 2 for the DP and 2 for the SP, who were included in the closed list.
We can now say with complete certainty who the first four seats or the first names elected as deputies for the Lezha district are. For the Democratic Party it is Agron Gjekmarkaj and Elda Hoti, while for the Socialist Party it is Ulsi Manja and Ermal Pacaj. The fight in this district is now taking place on open lists, where each of the candidates has one last chance to triumph in these parliamentary elections and to sit in one of the chairs that will make up the new legislature of the Albanian parliament.
In the socialist camp, there is a strong competition between candidates Pranvera Skana, who has a lead in votes over Aurora Gjeloshi and Admir Kadeli. While for the Democratic Party, Gjin Gjoni leads the preferential list, followed by Aleksandër Lala and Edison Doçi.
As for the ranking for other parties, in the Lezha district, the Albania Initiative Coalition is the third political force, followed by the Social Democratic Party and the Euro-Atlantic Coalition, which, however, did not manage to send their candidates to parliament. (A2 Televizion)
