With 20 days left until the official launch of the campaign for the May 11 elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama revealed the Socialist Party's objective, while presenting the team of candidates for MPs in Tirana.
The head of government is seeking 1 million votes at the national level, to guarantee the SP's fourth mandate, and so that, according to him, Albania does not miss the train of history again.
"May 11 should be such that when the rest of us count the 1 million votes, on May 12 everyone continues their work calmly so that there is no fluctuation in what will be done. It is a historic moment to be understood, it is a historical mistake that can remain as a wound. We once missed the train of history. On May 11, the train of history passes to close the negotiations and to join Albania within this decade", said Rama.
The prime minister further commented on his rivals from the Democratic Party, saying that in the quagmire where, according to him, they have ended up, they cannot bring Albania closer to the EU.
"To say that others can do the process, they cannot do it. In the best case scenario, for them, so as not to have the soaking of sitting in the swamp, they eat in the swamp, sleep in the swamp, stay in the swamp," he said. (A2 Televizion)
