Today, a passenger plane with about 70 people on board crashed in Kazakhstan. International media reports that 42 people lost their lives, while 25 others survived. 22 of them were sent to the hospital for specialized treatment. It is learned that the downed plane belongs to an airline from Azerbaijan and had departed from Baku and was flying in the direction of Grozny in Chechnya.
The media, citing sources close to the airline, report that the crash may have been caused by a collision with a flock of birds in the air, which may have damaged the engines. At the time of the crash, it was noticed that the aircraft was engulfed in flames. About 150 firefighters went to the scene and made it possible to put out the flames. (A2 Televizion)
