The request of former Democratic MP Ervin Salianji to overturn the December 18, 2019 decision of the Criminal Court that sentenced him to 1 year in prison, will be reviewed today at the High Court.
The hearing on the "Salianji" case will begin at 10:00 and the decision on the democrat will be made in the deliberation room.
This is the second time that the black platoons in the Supreme Court will have to decide on Salijanj's fate, after on October 15, 2024, they rejected a request by the former MP to suspend his 1-year prison sentence.
On September 26, the Court of Appeals decided to uphold the 1-year prison sentence for the criminal offense of false reporting for Salianji, while the latter called the trial a set-up and described himself as a political prisoner. (A2 Televizion)
