MP Monika Kryemadhi's next visit to SPAK, in implementation of the "obligation to appear" measure, was followed by a long-distance clash between her and her ex-husband, Ilir Meta.
Referring to SPAK's claims, but also to Meta's acquittal that he had no knowledge of her use of a credit card, Kryemadhi said that the father of her children was repeating Altin Dumani's statements.
"First, I am very sorry that the father of my children continues and repeats the statements of Altin Dumani, Sotir Kllapi and Arben Kraja, which have to do with different issues and perspectives of what we read in a common file," said Kryemadhi.
The former president in prison reacted through a Facebook post where he labeled his ex-wife as the "Zeqine" of SPAK.
"Out of respect and care for my three children, I had told them after the elections that their mother should not mention my name in public anymore because I did not want to deal with her anymore. But when trouble comes, you become the 'Zeqine' of SPAK. Ilir Meta and Tedi Blushi, not only do not repeat Altin Dumani's accusations, but they have only publicly dismantled the criminal slander orchestrated by Altin Dumani that two new pieces of evidence had allegedly been found, namely two new bank cards, which according to them were also used by Ilir Meta, or he was also aware of it," Meta wrote on Facebook.
Kryemadhi denied having used Adrian Shatku's credit card, but admitted that he had been in the US with the businessman, who is his cousin, and that he did not remember whether he had been paid for gifts or services by him.
"Yes, I have been to Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, and Las Vegas. I was with my cousin Adrian Shatku, with my children, with my cousin Bebe Rexha, we were for my daughter's 10th birthday. I don't remember. I will get my gifts now, some of them have come to me. Hotels are mainly, they are not expensive stores, you know. But even if they were, I don't have any complexes. 240 thousand USD is Shatku's entire card, with hotels, with plane tickets," declared Kryemadhi.
"Of course, I don't want to believe that what Altin Dumani wrote about her and Adrian Shatku's bank cards is true, but they are writing it to justify the criminal isolation of Ilir Meta as leader of the Freedom Party. If they were true, of course SPAK would not have given permission to 'Zeqine' to go to the US in January of this year, where Adrian Shatku lives and the lobbying companies he has brought to Albania are the ones that SPAK has been investigating for 3 years," added Ilir Meta.
Kryemadhi said that any news about her lifestyle was made to draw attention to the cocaine trafficking in the port of Durres and that she was no longer interested in the opinions of her ex-husband.
