Former Minister of Finance, Arben Malaj, invited to the "Off the Record" studio with Andrea Dangli, on A2 CNN, commented on the school where the Socialist Party will send its new MPs.
"The class war in Albania is not over. But, it is not like in the time of communism, when they would convict and put you in prison. Or transfer you from Tirana to Poçem. But, it is shameful that people you promoted yourself, because they do not know how the leader feels about you, when they come face to face with you, lower their heads. This is a lack of integrity and without integrity, neither the individual nor society can be developed. Much less the government, which without integrity becomes abusive and non-contributing," said Malaj.
"This school doesn't seem like a big deal to me. The Political Academy was there. What will legislators learn there? What will they gain from two weeks of training? These are more marketing to cover the essence of the problems. If we want to think about our MPs, the Academy should start educating young politicians at every level, not just MPs and ministers. Before they enter politics, they must have a "bachelor's" in philosophy and psychology. These are the weapons you need to serve as political representatives," Malaj added.
