The second high-level meeting on the topic "Albania 2030 in the EU - THE PATH OF REFORMS" was held in Tirana.
During his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that since May 27, when the Special Anti-Corruption Commission began work, today we are at another level, where 2 groups of negotiation chapters have been officially opened and there is ambition for others.
Rama also said that Albania should enter the European Union, which he called an open door as a real possibility, writes A2 CNN.
The Prime Minister also said that this opportunity is still reversible and fragile, therefore, according to him, with the May 11 vote, Albanians should be careful where they throw it.
"Since May 27, when the special anti-corruption commission began its work, we are today at another level, we have officially opened 2 groups of negotiation chapters, we have the ambition to open others. In addition, we are positioned better than ever in all European rankings in the field of good governance and anti-corruption.
The evaluation for corruption prevention was mentioned here. An evaluation that moved us up 18 places in the corruption evaluation index. An evaluation that, on the other hand, was also made by Sigma, which precisely placed us as a leading country in the region for public finance administration, public procurement, human resource management, and policy coordination.
An assessment made by the Bertelmand Foundation, as one of the 8 countries out of 137 countries in the world with the most substantial progress in the last decade in terms of good governance, and overall an assessment that tells us a lot to encourage us, but does not prevent us from continuing to insist on one point, which is consolidation.
