Prime Minister Edi Rama advised teachers to show the series "Adolescence" in schools to understand the new reality in which today's children grow up and the dangers they face.
"I would suggest you watch a recently released film called "Adolescence", share it with others and screen it with students. It's a film that has shocked the world and talks about the challenges and how far we are and how little we understand when we think we understand so much from our children."
He reiterated that "Tik Tok" will only reopen after the company provides safety for underage users.
"I am glad that TikTok has been closed today and that we have provided children and students with protection from a very negative influence that was hovering over them 24/7. I take this opportunity to repeat it for everyone and it is good for teachers to tell parents, but also students, that trying to install TikTok, using the so-called free VPNs found on the internet is very dangerous, because they practically make the phone vulnerable to theft with all the data inside, so parents should be careful in this regard. We have entered into a dialogue with the company through the ANA and the Ministry of Education and have asked that if it will have access in Albania, it should present us with a credible proposal for a certain number of security filters for our children and a program to stimulate learning about science and mathematics that TikTok has in its range of services. They must guarantee us that children are protected from dangerous parts and the company has promised us that it will present this proposal to us and what it will bring us will be "It should be shared with teachers and parents. I believe that in the not too distant future they will come to Albania."
