The tariffs imposed by the US were one of the concerns raised by Berat farmers, in a meeting that Prime Minister Rama held with them.

Beyond noting the uncertainty of the moment, the head of government was forced to shrug his shoulders without being able to offer a solution.

"Regarding tariffs, there is a lot of confusion. At the moment they are frozen, there are no developments. We will see how it develops, because we don't have anything in our hands either."

More specifically, regarding the state guarantee that the government will offer on bank financing lines for farmers.

"I am very pleased that we have at your disposal a new financial instrument, 250 million euros. An innovative financing line to obtain loans with 70% collateral guaranteed by the state and with an interest rate of less than 3%."

"The European passport," Rama explained, will provide them with even greater financial support.

"We have a goal to reach 1 billion in exports. It's a very ambitious goal. We have exceeded half a billion, which was unimaginable. The moment we become members of the EU, because this is something calculated, 300 million euros are just for the countryside and agriculture. Imagine what an exponential leap."

The meeting also provided an opportunity for electoral harassment.

"I'm glad to finally see Fatos Nurellari here with us, dressed in blue of course. With blue and white checks, his party's flag turned into a trendy shirt." (A2 Televizion)
