"Rama turned yellow in the session, surrounded by the guard with his head down and the card raised, like a mannequin who had been given a green card." This is what Gazment Bardhi declared after the end of the plenary session where the 2024 draft budget was approved in principle. According to him, the Assembly has entered into illegality with a record session held in only 4 minutes and 29 seconds.
Bardhi said that the opposition MPs were surrounded, as if the country was in a state of war.
"The assembly of thieves has set a record 4 minutes and 29 seconds session for approving the budget in a hall filled with special forces of the Guard of the Republic. You should hold the speaker of the assembly accountable for denying the order to fill the hall with security guards. Albania is a candidate country of the EU and today the MPs have been surrounded by the security forces as a country in a state of war. The only reason why the hall was filled with the special forces of the guard was that Albania's chief thief Edi Rama, a coward who, in order to come to the session in a country that claims to be democratic, had filled the hall with security personnel, was present in the assembly.
He stated that the opposition's action aims to show the citizens that this is not their parliament.
"The opposition would like that hall to be normal, to have an exchange of alternative ideas, but this is impossible as long as the rights of the MPs are violated and the opposition as the constitutional rights are denied. We have not had a clash with the guard, we do not have a battle with the guard. The deputies and SP do not need bodyguards to bring more funds to the concession contracts. Why does not allow the majority to carry out the constitutional duty for these contracts. Not only does Rama not cancel them but today he gave more funds to a contract that it will have to be cancelled. The opposition does not have the strength to prevent the voting of the laws because Rama secured the votes with organized crime and today he approved a budget to bring funds to organized crime. 4 minutes and 29 seconds session, the assembly has entered into illegality. We have not said that we will block the vote. They have also approved the laws proposed by Klodian Zoto and we do not have the cardboard force to stop them, but we want to show the citizens that this is not the parliament that represents their interests. They are to vote on the sterilization contract. We want to show the citizens that this is not their parliament".
The opposition will escalate the action within the parliament, until it wins the rights to serve the public interest.
