The tragedy in Kocani, North Macedonia, has also shocked Albania. President Bajram Begaj, in a post on social media, expressed condolences for the victims of this tragedy and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
"I also convey my condolences to Prime Minister Mickovski and the authorities of the neighboring country on behalf of Albania and Albanians, expressing our readiness for whatever assistance may be necessary," Begaj writes on the X network.
Prime Minister Edi Rama writes that he is shocked by this tragedy and expresses his condolences to the victims. "My prayers and those of the Albanian people go to the injured, that they find a speedy recovery and that the pain in the city of Kocani does not worsen," the head of government continues his reaction.
A message of condolence also came from the Speaker of the Parliament, Elisa Spiropali, who writes that "on this sad Sunday, I am close to the families who lost their loved ones."
Spiropali adds that he wishes that the Macedonian people and authorities have "strength and courage in facing this great disaster." (A2 Televizion)
