The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, says that holding the European Political Community Summit in Tirana is a historic event for the Western Balkans.
In a post on "X", von der Leyen stressed that the rain did not dampen the morale of the participants at all, writes A2.
The President of the European Commission stated that this was the first meeting of this kind to be held in the Western Balkans and described it as evidence of the EU's commitment to continuing efforts for the integration of the countries of the region.
"Our European family of values is bigger than the borders of the European Union. We share a continent and a common future," von der Leyen added.
