After the clear ultimatum given by Prime Minister Edi Rama during his visit to the Municipality of Vlora, all heads of local directorates have submitted their resignations to Mayor Ermal Dredha.
Sources for A2 CNN from within the Municipality indicate that immediately after Rama left the institution's premises on Thursday, Mayor Dredha gathered all the leaders and officially requested their resignations.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has established two working groups to advance the process of reform and in-depth analysis at the local level:
The first group, consisting of Bledi Çuçi, Vullnet Sinaj and Pirro Vengu, will focus on analyzing and evaluating the performance of regional leaders. According to Rama, any leader who has not performed his duty properly should resign, while their replacements will undergo a three-month probationary period to prove their abilities.
The second group, which includes Brisilda Çakerri, Zamira Sinaj and Evis Alushi, will analyze possible names for the new leaders of the Municipality of Vlora.
The Prime Minister has requested that the analysis of all leaders be completed by July 15, and that specific names for replacements be ready, based on the proposals that will come from the Socialist Party structures in Vlora.
It is learned that in the meeting held behind closed doors in the Municipality of Vlora, many of the participants were personally invited by the Prime Minister himself. Also present were the deputies of the District, where two of them, Erjona Ismaili and Zamira Sinaj, were very critical of the work of the Municipality. In the eyes of everyone, they complained about the delays and procrastination that, according to them, are being made in solving the problems of the citizens.
The Prime Minister has clearly warned that no one will hold the position unless they justify it with concrete work. (A2 Televizion)
